Neil and Meredith's Wedding

We returned from Utah at about 10:30 p.m. on the 26th, stayed up way too late repacking, doing laundry, etc., and left for the drive to Chicago at about 11:00 a.m. Jack the wonder baby slept almost the entire way there. We stopped about 1 hour away from the hotel and fed him. When we arrived at the hotel, however, Jack was wonder baby no more.
I think all of the travel finally got to him and he just cried and cried--that was introduction to Aunt Kelli, Aunt Julie and Uncle Neil who were meeting him for the first time. He eventually calmed down and was very happy all the next day--sleeping through his time in the waiting room at the temple, sleeping through the luncheon, and awake and happy at the reception. The wedding day was an unusually sunny, warm and beautiful winter day in Chicago. The ceremony was beautiful and the bride and groom looked so happy. Every sealing makes me think of my own and Chad and I commented on how it feels like just yesterday that we were at the temple! Time flies. Neil and Meredith are now in Paris on their honeymoon. I hope they got to see the fireworks at the Eiffel Tower. We are so happy for them. The drive home was fine and Jack was wonder baby again-sleeping 90% of the time. He has started this adorable habit--if he is crying and hungry and we are somewhere that he can't eat, all we have to do to calm him down is to hold his hands. He just has to grasp on to your fingers with his hands and he can hold on until he can be fed. What a sweet boy.

I think it's funny that for your wedding post there are no pictures of Meredith in her wedding dress or Neil in his tux. Just a bunch of us holding Jack- we all know where our attention was. :)
